Dissertation or company-based research project
Course description
This MBA is designed to develop graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage business in the vastly differing and complex markets of Europe and Asia. The programme has been developed by consultation with industry to ensure the appropriateness of its content.
The ongoing relationship with industry ensures the currency of the programme content and provides first hand information concerning trends and developments within industries and markets. The programme involves studying semester one at LSBU. Upon completion of semester one there is a four day Integrative Module where students will benefit from working on group assignments with students from our partner university in the Netherlands. The integrative module will be held alternately in UK and in the Netherlands.
Students can choose to study semester two at our partner institution in India. The experience of studying in both Europe and Asia underscores the orientation of this MAB.
Upon completion of semesters one and two students will be encouraged to undertake a short industry placement where they can complete a research project based upon an issue significant to that company. However, students will also have the option to produce a dissertation concerning a relevant business topic. Students can choose to undertake the industry placement and the research project in Europe or in Asia.

– A first Hons degree at 2.2
or equivalent
– 4 years relevant managerial experience
– Applicants whose first language is not English should demonstrate proficiency at IELTS 6.5 or equivalent

The programme connects the needs of employers with those of the programmes’ graduates. The programme content concerns the emerging markets of Asia and Eastern Europe and also the developed, mature markets of Western Europe. The programme provides an internationally oriented management curriculum to an international body of learners in a wide range of occupations, seeking to enhance their management knowledge and skills in a Eurasian business context.
