Your Students’ Union

Run by students for students, the Students’ Union represents and protects your interests both within the University and through the National Union of Students.

LSBU’s Students’ Union is an inclusive, diverse, vibrant and energetic organisation. Its main aim is to enhance the student experience by providing students with a range of services, including social, cultural, political, recreational, sporting activities.

All the societies are funded by the Student’s Union so that you can enjoy outside interests at an affordable price. The Union offers a range of societies from culturally based societies to course based and external societies. You’ll find joining a society a great way to meet like-minded people.

Sports and athletic clubs

The Union provides a wide variety of different sports clubs for students to participate in, both at an entry/recreational and professional/competitive levels. Most of our team compete in the BUSA (British University Sport Association) leagues on Wednesday afternoons. These range from traditional sports such as rugby and netball to the more unusual activities such as Jitsu and Whu Shu Kwan. Relaxation and social activities

The Union has its own bar/café with games machines, pool tables, videos, and large screen plasma TVs for all those big sporting occasions, and where it holds a varied selection of entertainment events.
