It is designed to address the challenges in assessment and treatment of a range of disorders or work with specific client groups where CBT techniques and strategies can be adopted and used to good effect.
Students will develop core components in CBT principles and techniques gaining a deeper awareness of the diversity and complexity of working with range of disorders or different client groups, including inpatients. Ongoing professional support is a critical part of any training programme and therefore clinical supervision will be incorporated into the teaching and learning delivery of the programme. It is expected that students will be allocated an identified clinical supervisor for the duration of the programme and after completion of training if seeking BABCP accreditation.
