Course description
This programme of study offers the participant a depth and scope of knowledge, which incorporates a high level of clinical skill in the practice of image evaluation and reporting of the skeletal system. The units fully integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skill, facilitating the student’s development as a competent and reflective practitioner in the area addressed. It is essential that the student has support in his/her base department for work-based learning.
The six core units comprising this course sit within the postgraduate degree scheme. Students may undertake four units alone for Appendicular only (PgCert) or eight units for the award of PgDip. Radiographic Reporting of Skeletal System. NB, the Appendicular and Axial units are double units.

Typical background of applicant
You will normally be a qualified radiographer or other health care professional who has an interest in radiograph reporting and essentially who has written confirmation and support of a clinical department in which to train.

The flexible nature of this programme beyond the 18 month stage when the axial unit may be completed means that all of the options and routes available for PgDip and MSc cannot be described here.
