Careers guidance

We offer advice regarding careers and employability throughout your time at LSBU and for up to two years post graduation. Our services include: confidential, objective careers guidance by fully qualified professionals, daily drop-in sessions for brief enquiries, a programme of careers workshops including how to develop or improve your CV, interview techniques; presentation skills, psychometric and personality tests, and advice on how to start a new business along with a comprehensive website with live vacancy bulletin, employer database and a range of resources for marketing yourself effectively to employers.

We maintain a comprehensive range of information on a wide variety of occupations, options for further study, scholarships, studentships and general work experience opportunities, both in the UK and abroad. This service is based on the ground floor in Caxton House at the Southwark Campus.

JobShop and placements - Working while you study

Many of our students work during their vacations, or part-time while they study to support their studies financially and gain valuable experience. Our JobShop is an online service for students and employers that advertises part-time, voluntary, temporary, placement, and vacation time work opportunities for all our students.
