International Students

Qualifications

We accept a wide range of international qualifications. For guidance on whether your qualification will be acceptable please contact either The British Council Office at www.britishcouncil.org and speak to the Education Counsellor or visit the National Academic Recognition Centre (NARIC) www.naric.org.uk. For students who are not ready to join our undergraduate or postgraduate programmes directly, LSBU works in partnership with Cambridge Education Group to offer LSBU FoundatiOn Campus programmes, which will prepare students for the LSBU course of their choice. When you arrive

Arriving for the first time in a new country can be daunting, that’s why we arrange to meet our international students from either Gatwick or Heathrow airport on arrival. Details are available on our website www.lsbu.ac.uk/international from early summer.

Accommodation

We guarantee all our international students a place in one of our residences providing we receive a completed accommodation application form by August 1st. LSBU offers a range of accommodation, from ensuite study rooms to single rooms in shared flats. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can help you find accommodation in a privately owned, shared house, but please ensure you make your arrangements before arriving in the UK.

Social events

To help you make the most of your time living and studying in London, we arrange both social and cultural activities throughout the academic year that you can take part in. We also offer you the chance to join organised trips to locations outside of London and abroad.

International student adviser

LSBU has a special student adviser for our international students. If you have any problems during your course, such as finance, immigration, visas or homesickness, you can get expert help and advice from our trained adviser.
