LSBU’s accommodation

LSBU has four student residences all within a ten-minute walk of the Southwark campus and a London Underground station. In total there are 1,400 single bedrooms located within self contained flats. There is a choice of en-suite or standard bedrooms, all with a phone and data point for internet access. A number of these rooms have also been adapted for students with limited mobility. All of our student residences have dedicated on-site teams responsible for their management and on-call staff available in the event of an emergency.

Flats are normally mixed sex, but a number of flats have been put aside for single sex occupation. If you would like to apply for a place in one of LSBU’s residences please visit www.lsbu.ac.uk/accommodation or contact our Accommodation Office to request an Accommodation Guide. Accommodation applications can now be made on-line.

As demand for LSBU residences can often exceed supply we recommended that you apply as early as possible. If you are an international student studying at LSBU for the first time and for a full academic year, a place in one of our residences is guaranteed if the Accommodation Office receives your application by 1 August.

Insurance

LSBU has arranged a basic level of insurance for students who live in its student residences, covering personal possessions. This cover comes as part of your accommodation.

David Bomberg House

Located on Borough High Street, David Bomberg House is a five-minute walk from the main campus. There is a handy mini-market next door and a selection of bars and cafes nearby. There are 289 en-suite, self catering, single bedrooms, the majority in seven or eight bedroom flats. An on-site management team is supported by student assistants outside normal office hours. All rooms have phones and data connections.
