LSBU has a Centre dedicated to supporting your study. The Centre for Learning Support and Development (CLSD) brings together a range of services making it easier for you to access the various learning support services that the University provides.
“We provide access to a world of information to support your studies.” Robert Hall, Director, CLSD
Be equipped to meet the demands of your study
If you feel there are any holes in your knowledge that you would like to fill, Study Skills Workshops, designed for all stages of your academic career, are held regularly. Topics include essay and report writing, time management, note taking, reading, revision and exam techniques, group work and presentation skills.
CLSD also offers maths workshops, and classes for those wanting to improve their English skills (for both native English-speaking students and those for whom English is not a first language).
Specialised support is also available for those with dyslexia or disabilities.
Other ways that CLSD can help you
CLSD also supports students through IT services, LSBU’s three campus libraries, student advice, JobShop and careers, and many other ways.
For full information about how CLSD can help you, see the Study support section on page 224 of this prospectus, or visit the CLSD website: www.lsbu.ac.uk/learningsupport/
