An honours degree in a related technical discipline (at least 2:2) from a UK or international university, or practitioners with substantial commercial/industrial experience.
Course description
The course aims to develop strategic IS/IT managers with the business and technical competencies necessary to manage IT at all levels of the enterprise. Participants will study a range of modules that foster an in-depth understanding of the way in which IT can be used to create and support high performance organisations, the processes involved in managing systems implementation and the technical framework and policies needed to ensure that business and IT systems are fully aligned
Employers are keen for students to gain experience in an industrial environment as part of their studies. For this reason, all full-time participants will be encouraged to undertake a threemonth industrial placement beginning in June. A Placement Officer will be available to provide help and support.
Career opportunities
There are excellent career opportunities available in all areas of IT management, including: IS/IT consultancy, IS/IT project management, business analysis, IS/ IT security management, technical procurement and service support/management.
