Your Students’ Union
Student media
LSBU students are given a voice within the University via the Students’ Union media such as the Union’s publications, the LDN.FM Students’ Radio, web TV and the Union’s website. All of these include a range of information and topics, from the latest music reviews to information on social, cultural and political events and LSBU internal news.
The Union’s website is packed with information, up-to-date news and views.
Go to www.yoursu.com for more information.
Student Advice Bureau
The Student Advice Bureau is an independent service run by the Union with qualified advisors who offer free, confidential, professional and impartial advice on a wide range of subjects such as fees, finance, housing, employment, academic appeals, disciplinary matters and complaints. You can contact the service by phone, email, making an appointment or coming to a drop in session. The Bureau is located on the first floor in the temporary Students’ Union building on Thomas Doyle Street. The Bureau is a member of Advice UK: www.adviceuk.org.uk
Freshers’ fortnight
Freshers’ fortnight takes place at the end of enrolment week and offers the perfect opportunity for you to find out what’s happening and to meet people and make new friends. The Union also runs a programme of entertainment events for you to enjoy throughout the fortnight. The Freshers’ Fair is a great opportunity to check out and join the many sports and Athletic Union clubs and student societies.
