Childcare services

The University has a 47 place nursery located at 12 Borough Road. The nursery occupies an attractive refurbished Victorian building with plenty of internal space and a fully developed external play area. It is staffed with experienced, qualified staff who aim to provide a caring and stimulating environment for children from six months to five years old. Due to popularity, younger children may have to be placed on the waiting list. Children aged three and above can usually be placed almost immediately.

The nursery term-time opening hours: 8.15am – 5.45pm (5.00pm Wed).

Multi–faith care

Our chaplains are here to offer confidential, non-judgemental pastoral care and support to all students. At present there are two Christian chaplains (one part-time) at LSBU and a Jewish chaplain shared with other London universities. All are available for personal conversations at any agreed time.

There is also a room available for private prayer and meditation. We also have a number of student societies that represent various religions and denominations including the Islamic Society who have access to two prayer rooms and the Christian Union.
