You may request a paper application form if you are unable to use the MyLancaster web service. Please contact the appropriate Faculty Admissions Office for your intended programme of study (see below) if you wish to receive a paper form; please note that only applications on official Lancaster University postgraduate application forms will be accepted.
Please also refer to the relevant course listing to ensure that you include all necessary documentation for your chosen programme of study.

Our aim is to make the application process as simple and efficient as possible for you. With this in mind, we would encourage you to apply online using our dedicated website, the ‘MyLancaster admissions’ portal. The address is:

Using MyLancaster admissions to apply
Using the MyLancaster admissions site, you are able to submit applications for the programme(s) which you wish to study, upload supporting documentation and provide us with information about referees.
Once you have created a user account, you may apply for any Lancaster University postgraduate programme you wish using this method except for the DClinPsy in Clinical Psychology and the PgDip/MA in Social Work. These two programmes are administered by external agencies; please refer to the course listings for further details.
Using our web service, you will be advised which documentation you need to upload or send to us. We will also automatically contact your referees once you have submitted your application. The supporting documentation screen will provide you with a list of required documents.
Required documents will usually include: • transcripts of previous higher education (college/university) degrees or other courses that you have completed/for which you are currently studying. Note that, for transcripts in languages other than English, a certified English translation will be required.
• references • for those for whom English is not their first language, copies of English language test results.
Current Lancaster University students may use our Fast Track application route on the MyLancaster admissions portal; these applicants will not need to provide their Lancaster degree transcript and only need to provide the name of one referee.
