RESEARCH DEGREES
MPhil/PhD/PhD (Professional Route) and MSc (by Research)
Entry Requirements: Applicants should hold at least an upper second class honours degree, or its equivalent in Computing, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related discipline. Assessment: Original research and thesis. IELTS: 6.5 min or TOEFL 580 (paper-based test), 238 (computer-based test), 93 (internet-based test). We welcome applications for registration for the degrees of PhD (3 years full-time, 4-6 years part-time), MPhil (2 years) and MSc (by Research, 1 year) in any of our research areas from well-qualified, able and enthusiastic students. In addition, we offer a PhD (Professional Route) for those with a track record of research in an industrial environment interested in gaining recognised doctoral qualification.

Research skills courses help support you in learning to improve your scientific methods, written and verbal communication skills, to help you realise the maximum potential from your work.
