Fees
The annual tuition fee covers registration, tuition and examination. It does not include residential accommodation, living expenses, or charges for re-examination. All fees may be revised but as much notice as possible will be given of any changes.
Fees for Postgraduate Study All fees (both standard and non-standard) are likely to increase annually. 2011/2012 fees will be announced in the Spring of 2011 and will be published on the University website at
www.lancs.ac.uk/depts/studreg/postgrads/fees.htm. As a guide, the standard fees for 2010/11 are outlined below.
Please note: the tuition fee rates outlined below are only applicable to those programmes which attract the standard fee rate. Many postgraduate programmes attract a non- standard fee rate; this includes programmes within the Management School, Educational Research, Engineering, Health Research, History, Lancaster Environment Centre, LICA, Linguistics and English Language and some Research Degree programmes. A full listing of those courses which attract the non-standard fees for 2010/2011 can be found at
www.lancs.ac.uk/depts/studreg/postgrads/fees.htm. All students are classified for fees purposes as UK, EU or
Overseas. Any student who believes they have been incorrectly classified should make a request to have their classification re-considered by writing to:
Postgraduate Management Office (Admissions) University House Lancaster University Lancaster LA1 4YW
before the 31st December in the year in which they first registered at the University. Requests should be accompanied by a copy of the student’s passport and any other supporting documents.
Financial Support All candidates must, before entry, make arrangements for their financial support and the payment of their fees throughout their studies at the University. Prior to registration, students will be required to sign a declaration that they have sufficient funds to cover fees and living expenses.
