HELPS SUPPORT ORGANISATIONS BY
TRAINING GRANTS
FUNDING THE TRAINING AND DEVELOP-
MENT OF NEW LEGAL AID SOLICITORS.
150 grants are available to organisations
committed to legal aid. Each grant
represents a package of up to £20,000 and a
commitment to support a student/trainee and
organisation for up to four years,
through the Legal Practice Course and
Training Contract.
Since the scheme was introduced in 2002 over
£15 million have been invested in the develop-
ment of around 600 legal aid solicitors.
