Course Duration: One year or part-time (two years)
Graduates often begin their careers at supervisory level in hotel and catering
establishments and progress to general management or ownership. The initial
focus of the course is on small to medium-sized enterprises.

Hotel and Catering
◆ After year one, a 12 week compulsory placement is arranged by the School
of Hotel and Catering Studies, in a hotel or catering establishment in Ireland.
◆ Year two – Semester 4: Students undertake a 30 week industrial placement,

following countries: Ireland, Great Britain, USA, Germany, Switzerland,
France, Belgium and Spain. An industrial project must be completed in
