NJ: Can you tell me about blogging and how it has come about? MB: The rise of the blogosphere - which is what bloggers call it - has been phenomenal. There are about 2-3 million legitimate posts a day – and when I say legitimate I mean not spam blogs – that’s about 18-25 posts a second, about 100,000 blog posts an hour and the blogosphere, the totality of blogs, doubles every five months according to Technorati. com which is the very well known blog tracking site. Blogging just isn’t breaking into the mainstream so you’re not going to find me, even though I blog and I’m a journalist and a blogger, you’re not going to find me being a massive blog advocate in terms of social networking because it hasn’t really broken into the mainstream in the way that a lot of people predicted.
