by Julie Salmon OFFICE MANAGER EPS Jersey Limited

EPS Coatings (Jersey), which has very effective solutions to these problems, says that even the newest properties show signs of deterioration due to adverse weather

conditions especially on an Island where a lot of houses are very exposed to the elements. In fact within a couple of years, a conventional paint job can show signs of damage caused by the weather. So to keep your property properly protected you would need to paint it every two or three years, which few households have either the money or the time to do.

So EPS has five different solutions for four different problems – Protex Textured Coat, Protex Smooth Coat, Protex Clearshield Protex Roof Guard and Protex Powerwashing.

PROTEX TEXTURED COAT/SMOOTH COAT The complete solution from EPS Coatings is the Protex System. It protects walls with a resin coating that is up to 20 times thicker than conventional paint. This provides a lasting barrier against water and mildew and, incidentally, disguises any surface imperfections.

That’s not all. The microporous nature of Protex also allows the walls to breathe. This prevents blistering or the coating peeling away, unlike ordinary paints which can soon become brittle and start to flake. Good colour stability is achieved by using high quality
