Gas is clean, convenient, affordable, efficient, versatile and available; that’s why islanders choose gas.
Jersey Gas, a local company with over 179 years service to the island, provides gas island- wide, either via a mains gas distribution network or through its sister group Kosangas (situated in St John), which delivers gas in cylinders and bulk storage tanks. To keep in touch with today’s modern way of life, Jersey Gas has a range

During the past two years, Gas has been heavily involved in the consultation process working
to deliver the island’s first energy policy. We believe it is important that the island has access to secure, affordable, sustainable fuels that will enable all islanders’ needs be met and maintained for the future. One new and exciting proposition for Jersey would be a Natural Gas pipeline as is enjoyed by customers in the Isle of Man. Jersey Gas are in discussions with Gas de France with regard to a pipeline. Natural Gas would provide numerous social and economic benefits for the Island such as access to a lower carbon fuel, greater security of supply, the release of various land parcels for more efficient use and a wider range of appliances. Perhaps most important of all, Natural Gas is, relatively speaking a low cost fuel, for example customers in the Isle of Man pay 40% less for their gas, simply because it’s Natural Gas and not LPG. Jersey Gas are attempting to get the States interested in creating the right political and regulatory environment to encourage investment in a pipeline to Jersey.
