At the Outdoor Track and Field Intervarsity Championships both men's and women's teams managed to come away with 11 medals in total. Most notable of those were first year BESS student Adam Rice claiming gold in the Javelin, Simon Taggart defending his 400m title making him the Indoor and Outdoor Intervarsity Champion, and Claire McGlynn, Rioghna Moggan, Ruth Carson and Liz Melvin combining to win silver and set a new Trinity Record in the women's 4x100m relay.

After months of intense preparation, DU Hockey Ladies took on Hermes in the Jacqui Potter Leinster Senior Cup final on 17 March. A fine display of hard work and determination was, however, left unrewarded, with Hermes winning 3:1. The second and third XI also secured promotion to divisions four and five of the Leinster League respectively.

The tournament took place on the Rugby Pitch, providing a great opportunity for players to showcase their skills and to promote GAA participation in College. The winning team included Dermot Mullen, Kyle Nolan, Cónán Ó’Broin, Steven Molumby, Conal Twomey, Gavin Kelly, Michael O’Leary, Rory Costello, James O’Dowd and John Lavelle.
