Contract Compliance & Monitoring
Compliance monitoring is the ongoing validation
to ensure that controls are in place and functioning
as expected. OMBD is responsible for the review,
coordination, administration and management of
minority contracts for the City of Richmond.
Fiscal Year Spending with Minority Contractors
The City of Richmond spent $15,114,849.25 with minority contractors/vendors on
the 198 monitored contracts.
Thirty-six percent of the dollars spent were with minority subcontractors/vendors in
the metro Richmond area (excluding the City of Richmond), twenty-four percent
to firms in the City of Richmond, nineteen percent to minority firms within the
state and outside the Richmond Metro market and twenty-one percent to out-of-
state firms. Thirty-two percent of the dollars spent were with minority contractors
in the metro Richmond area (excluding the City of Richmond), 45 percent to
firms in the City of Richmond, zero percent to minority firms within the state and
outside the Richmond Metro market and 23 percent to out-of-state-firms.
