the MkV WTG (wind turbine genera- tor) access platform and fender system. Te South Boats wind farm vessels are thought to be the only service vessels specifically designed for docking to offshore wind farms, and the transfer system, which is well proven, has become an industry requirement for which South Boats holds a registered design.


Te vessel has been inspected by the


MCA and is certified to operate under MCA Category 2 Waters (60nm) for 12 passengers, three crew, and 5000kg of deck cargo.


Propulsion Te vessel is powered by twin Scania DI12 60M 600hp diesel engines driving ZF360 1.237:1 reduction ratio gearboxes coupled to Clarkes drive shaſts and to


Ultra Dynamics 451 waterjet units. Tis package offers the vessel a sprint speed of over 24knots and a 21knot fast cruising speed at 200rev/min (combined 196litres/hr). An Ultra Dynamics Jetmaster control


system is fitted to the vessel with bucket controls, multi-axis joystick and back up control levers are at the main helm position, and a multi-axis joystick to the flying bridge helm position. SBI
