The site is situated at Le Barcarès on the coast to the
north-east of Perpignan and seven miles south-east
of Salses where there is a lake. From Barcarès here it
is possible to visit Carcassonne, Barcelona, Andorra,
the Pyrénées.
The pitches at Camping California are level and are well marked out
by hedges and trees offering shade but access to some pitches can
be difficult. The clean sanitary blocks are modern and well equipped.
The staff on site are helpful and organise entertainment in high season
