Set on the banks of the river Cher, close to the renowned
château of Chenonceau, this site is a good base for visiting
the many châteaux of the region as well as a wide range
of other attractions. However, the site’s English owners
create a friendly atmosphere and you may wish to spend
a few days simply relaxing on the site. Activities by day for
children and adults include castle-building competitions,
wine tasting and boules tournaments. By night, star
gazing and musical events may also be organised.
Camping le Moulin Fort is a well laid out, medium-sized site with a
range of shrubs and bushes separating the grassy pitches. Although
well maintained, the wash blocks are showing signs of age and
