The site is 1½ miles from the historic town of Ainsa,
renowned for its 12th century Aragonese architecture,
and about 25 miles from the border with France.
The site is situated near the Ordesa National Park,
famous for its cliffs, canyons and outstanding scenery.
However the park is only accessible by car between
May and September due to snow in the winter.
Situated alongside a fast-flowing river, Camping Peña Montañesa itself
is quite large and offers shady pitches of about 60m

trees which can sometimes make pitching very difficult. Approximately
