Sexy new technologies from Bulgaria
Multi-channel operations are an emerging trend throughout the gaming industry and Casino Technology is right on trend with its new Server Games Technology, which provides a single product linking live casino floors, online and VLT operations.
wellserved CASINO TECHNOLOGY
“Our newest product line is our Server Games Technol- ogy (SGT),” Casino Technol- ogy’s director of sales and marketing and chairwoman Sonia Nikolova explained. “It’s an entirely new concept dedicated to providing oper- ators an option to offer the same games across different remote applications.” SGT is a system based on a
remote game server that offer the same game content for online gaming, server- based gaming and VLT appli- cations. “Integration with the SGT is easy and uses standard API and protocols, enabling oper- ators to use their existing iGaming platforms and to add on new games for players easily,” said Nikolova. “We believe it’s the future of gaming and lays down the
foundation for development and operational flexibility. It satisfies land-based opera- tors’ needs for game variety and easy floor management. Our systems also complies with VLT regulations in many markets and can also be used in online casinos or in mobile applications.” Where permitted, the
technology can also support wide-area bonus features; and the server base can run equally in one location through a large local network or cover large geographical areas through an internet connection. Nikolova added: “There is an unlimited capacity to load games - but it’s a time-con- suming process to adapt our games for the SGT. But as we move forward, we will put 200-300 of our best perform- ing titles on the system. All this represents just the first level of the project: more
modules will be available in 2012 after they’ve been through field trials.” Back on the live casino
floor, Casino Technology also held the Europe-wide launch of its Penthouse Slots, which first saw the light at G2E. Under an exclusive licence from the adult entertainment Penthouse brand,
the
company has launched three initial titles Umbrella Dance, Butterfly Dreaming and Wild Temptations. “We’ve had a huge amount
of interest from leading oper- ators and orders for installa- tions pending the completion of GLI approval,” said Nikolova. “We expect the first installations to take place in Q2 or Q3 this year. We will also launch this year multi-level mystery and pro- gressive jackpots with signage all enhanced by the multi-media EyeSight appli- cation.”
No language barrier when it comes to live dealers

Evolution Gaming, which provides live dealing solutions for online casinos, has started the year with a bang - its confirmed orders for Q1 2012 have already surpassed what it took in the whole of 2011. The firm’s Helen Hedgeland said: “ICE is as much about client retention as it is creating new business. We’re very proactive in Malta, Riga and London and it’s nice to just get all the management team together for once.” She continued: “We’ve been holding a lot of meetings with operators in the land-based sector of late. This is because a lot of jurisdictions stipulate that the live dealers must actually be based in the website’s country of origin.” In practice, the live dealers are likely to be housed in a separate area within the land-based venue. Visitors to the casino would be able to see the live dealers, but the area would be cor- doned off in some way. Hedgeland showed International Casino Review several examples of how this would
work, from futuristic transparent parti- tions through to more lavish historical styles. “We can create the whole studio, with the backdrop real or virtual depending on their preference, in several different styles. We train up the dealers, set up the cameras and all the necessary equipment to allow them to offer online live roulette and black- jack.” Evolution Gaming now employs
Dutch, Turkish and Greek-speaking dealers in order to cater for the ever- growing audience of online players from all over Europe. “A lot of our customers are looking
at creating a more customised back- drop which can only be done by using real, physical objects such as actual fireplaces, clocks and so on. Of course, we can also accommodate 3D graph- ics or use bluescreen technology.” By having a segregated live dealer
area in a land-based operation and broadcasting it on the gaming floor, operations can create true land-based and online synergy. Players at the casino’s standard tables will go home in the knowledge that if they so desire

they can play with online dealers, transmitted live from the premises they have just physically visited. “We’re looking at opportunities in Spain and Italy at present, but we’re actively strengthening our brand in all our existing markets. All our clients receive the complete infrastructure to set up their own live dealer experi- ence. It’s a full, turnkey solution.” Looking at future growth, Evolution
is working on how to host live dealers using mobile technology, which it will showcase at the E3 this year. “We’re investigating how secure the iPad is at present,” said Hedgeland.
Casino Technology has
also created a video trailer for the Penthouse Slots series. “We’ve got a lot of plans
for marketing and promo- tional activities to support the first installations of Pent- house Slots,” said Nikolova. The company also
launched the latest in its multi-game slot series Gamopolis, for which it uses feedback and analysis from the field to create optimal sets of games. Gamopolis VII is a collection of 15 new titles with innovative themes and graphics offering a variety of maths model and bonus fea- tures to appeal to a range of casino visitors. Combined with the Plus versions of Gamopolis, operators can now choose sets from 90 non-repeated games over just six machines. “We are planning to expand the Gamopolis series
even further this year,” said Nikolova. “Most of the games will also be available for inter- net and VLT applications through our SGT system.”

Positioned on the Interna- tional Brand Gaming stand at ICE 2012, Elite Casino Prod- ucts demonstrated its new Nitro-XL cabinet. It features a 32-inch touchscreen LCD, giving complete graphic control to combine exciting gameplay and exhilarating bonus rounds onto one LCD touchscreen.
The custom cabinet manu-

She told International Casino Review: “We’re mainly targeting Europe and the UK at ICE, and while our customer base is largely in the US, we’ve definitely found that the show
has helped us expand our reach internationally.” Alm continued: “We’re also looking at expanding and bringing out a new cabinet by the end of 2012. It will be a premium product that has a broader scope for all types of gaming market. This is the first time we’ve exhibited at ICE and we’ve used the show to sample the UK and Euro- pean market for ourselves, to have a presence at a major European show and to support our representative, International Brand Gaming, which has partnered us for two years and is working to establish us in markets outside of the US.”
