Building and progression were the big messages from Spielo International at ICE - not only in terms of the company’s own recent rebranding but also in an innovative new game that gives players a reason to come back again and again. Add to that new concepts and developments of successful ideas in games and systems and it’s no wonder the


company was showing its broadest range of products yet.

ICE 2012 was the first time Spielo International was showing in London under its new umbrella identity, combining the Atronic and Spielo brands. “The rebranding has been a real success,” said Sylvia Dietz, manag- ing director and senior marketing director for the company. “To emphasise the global nature and the various segments of our busi- ness we launched a campaign with the theme ‘We speak your lan- guage’, which features our col- leagues from all over the world. It’s been very well received by our customers. We’re truly global with teams everywhere. But we also offer the broadest product range from casino slot machines and systems, to VLTs and the AWPs and now as we are integrating with GTech G2, we also provide solu- tions for online gaming and sports betting. So not only do we speak all the natural languages, we also speak all the gaming languages.” As a practical demonstration of

The first is through a simple code, which is anonymous; the second is to create an account attached to the player loyalty system; and the third is simply through ticketing - when the player cashes out, they get an extra ticket with the necessary information encoded on it. That means they can go back to any Egyptian Gold machine and take up where they left off.” The company was also showing

display was Goldify2, the succes- sor to the highly successful Goldify, which lets players select which symbols to turn to gold, which determines the level of volatility. “If players select the higher


value symbols to ‘goldify’ it increases the multiples on the paytables and increases volatility,” said Dietz. “This new version not only features new animations and graphics, it also allows the player to select the top symbol, which doubles the line win and multi- plies top prizes by ten. The free games trigger symbol can also be goldified, which doubles the number of free games if it hits. It really expands the range of volatil- ity options for the player.” Another new product in the


core range is the Animal World game family, which features Puzzle Pay. It is launched initially with two themes, Animal World Africa and Animal World Australia. Puzzle Pay symbols appearing on the screen will turn over to show pieces of a picture followed by a respin - more Puzzle Pay symbols appearing will turn around triggering more respins. Among the systems applications on display was the new cash wallet, which the company terms a “smarter, greener and affordable cashless payment card.” At only ten per cent of the cost of a smartcard, cash wallet can provide huge


savings to operators while at the same time providing security and convenience for both players and operators. As a ‘virtual wallet’ it means that even if a player loses the card, the cash is not lost. Star Display is a new multi- purpose, multi-media display system. It is centrally managed for all types of signage screens throughout the casino, and can be programmed to display jackpots, slot reel displays, advertising and promotions, TV and video stream- ing and a lot more. Casinos have complete flexibility over how and when the information is displayed using triggered, scheduled and static layers. TimeBomb Fever is a new addi- tion to Spielo International’s Star Bonus Fever series, which offers a huge range of bonusing solutions. TimeBomb Fever allows the opera- tor to configures the time period and the number of times the jackpot will hit and is designed to boost low activity periods in the casino.

showing its FloorMaster applica- tion for desktop touch screens and PC tablets. FloorMaster displays a map of the slot floor with real-time and historical information about all the activity. It allows floor man- agers to make fast decisions wher- ever they are, identifying hot and cold performing areas and see maintenance workflows, all at the touch of the screen.
