Why do it?
• To develop passing accuracy
• To encourage understanding of the
weight of a pass
• To experience a fun competitive situation
How to do it
• The red players have to attempt to pass their
ball so that it lands in the end zone
(like red player 4)
• After this pass the challenge for the blue
players is to pass their ball so that it hits the
red player’s ball (like blue player 6)
Don’t copy it, improve it!
• Ask the players to pass after a dribble
• Position the blue players at the side
of the area
• Put cones in the end zone for the red players
to aim at
• Both players aim to pass their ball as close
as possible to the end line. If it goes past
the line it has “gone over the edge of the cliff”.
