Biggest bolt maker in company history
AMBA (Aachener Maschinenbau GmbH), who moved premises
from the city-centre of Aachen to a nearby industrial estate in
December last year, has introduced the biggest BoltMaker in its
100-year history.
The BM 10 – 800 reaches a total length of approximately
10 metres and weighs nearly 32,000kg. As well as three heading
units and a pointing unit, the machine is equipped with two flat-die
thread rolling units instead of only one. This means that in addition to
the usual thread and end rolling, a second thread under the head can
be included in the production process.
The fact that all operations are in line on the machine side makes
it necessary to turn the bolt around twice during production.
However, this isn’t a problem for AMBA, which has turning units that
work on numerous AMBA machines and says that it is as easy as
horizontal transport, thanks to its approved conveyor system.
The new BM 10 - 800 will produce bolts from 150 to 800mm in
length and will process wire up to 10mm in diameter at 80 to 90
parts per minute.
Keep things moving
SKAKO COMESSA develops, produces and sells vibratory feeders and conveyors to activate, transport and separate all kinds of bulk solids.
The SKAKO COMESSA storage feeder type FV is used particularly for continuous and weight-specific charging of materials for:
• Hardening and annealing furnaces.
• Preparation machines.
• Packaging machines.
• Electro-Plating machines.
• Melting furnaces.
• Machines for quality control.
• Separating plants.
SKAKO COMESSA says that its furnace feeding systems are a very important part of many
industrial processes e.g. for the automatic and weight guaranteed:
• Feeding of belt, annealing - and tempering furnaces.
• Discharge of industrial washing and drying machines.
• Feeding and discharge of industrial electroplating- and surface treatment lines.
“Controlled, automatic and weight guaranteed feeding of bulk material ensures a steady
product quality, optimised efficiency of the downstream equipment to be feeded as well as
reproducible and traceable production parameters.“
A pc-operated control (with an option for self-adjustment) constantly compares target to
actual capacity and automatically supervises the through feed from the FVE-feeder and
CCe-vibration trough (which also has a self adjustment option) to ensure consistent and even
feeding of bulk material into the furnace.
