amid the larger layout, one notices
pockets of smart branding and product
identity, with Unilever’s key products
strategically incorporated into the design.
“For example, the reception counter
incorporates LeD lights embedded inside
more than 2,000 sunlight soap nozzles
to create an abstract geometric pattern
that is only recognisable once its secret
is revealed,” Currie points out.
and finally, tying the whole look is the
selection of InterfaceFLor carpets.
the primary carpeted spots are the
work spaces. to balance connectivity
and diversity between floors, a single
colourway in three different but related
patterns – squares and circles – from
the Pictorials™ range fit the bill. For
the breakout areas, solid Foundation™
colours are used to complement
the various themes – “soybean”
to represent the beaches of
vietnam, and “lavender” to echo
the indigo mountainous region
of north vietnam.
Downstairs, the ground floor conference
centre is divided into four separate
zones, each inspired by Unilever’s
values – growth, effervescence, beauty
and enlightenment. the earthy tones
of equator™ and solid Foundation were
picked to complement these values.
“We were tasked to create both a strong
internal and external identity that is clearly
recognisable to all as Unilever vietnam,”
sums up Currie. Looking at it, there is
no doubt the company’s Homebase
exemplifies just that.
