Blackburn Rovers decided to refurbish it’s stadium
and senior training ground, the club wanted
to ensure it’s corporate and team identity was
prominent throughout.
However, with speciﬁc ﬂooring requirements
for each room, they needed a company that could
supply a broad collection of ﬂooring to cover over
345m
2
. The Floors-2-Go Contract Division’s wide
range of ﬂooring options and bespoke design
service proved to be the winning formula.
John Newsham, stadium & safety manager,
at Blackburn Rovers Football Club, commented:
‘Blackburn Rovers has had a very successful
season and, with increased numbers of visitors
to the ground, we decided to give the stadium a
revamp. We wanted to make sure the club was
well represented throughout both the stadium
and training ground. It was also essential that the
work was completed during our closed season,
which gave us a very tight project deadline of one
month from start to ﬁnish.
‘After considering several suppliers, we
selected the Floors-2-Go Contract Division for
the project as they were able to source and ﬁt a
bespoke carpet, which featured the Blackburn col-
ours and branding for our Pro Zone room, as well
as a selection of ﬂooring to suit the requirements
of each of the other rooms. The Floors-2-Go team
were also conﬁdent that they could complete the
project within our timescales.’
The Floors-2-Go Contract Division recommend-
ed a Project Floors Stripwood effect vinyl for the
Premier bar, restaurant and canteen, Burmatex
Inﬁnity carpet tiles for the police control room
and Christy carpets were ﬁtted in the manager’s
hospitality suite.
Contracts director for Floors-2-Go, Andy Acton,
concluded: ‘This project provided a great op-
portunity to demonstrate our extensive knowledge
of the ﬂooring industry. We were able to advise
on the need for anti static carpet in the police
control room, to prevent disruption of technical
equipment used, and provide ﬂooring recommen-
dations for the canteen areas, which would meet
stringent hygiene and wear standards.’
John ﬁnished: ‘We were so pleased with the
work done that when the Director’s Box and
Lounge required new ﬂooring, we went straight
back to the Floors-2-Go Contract Division. The
new look is fantastic and has really contributed to
creating a Blackburn team atmosphere through-
out the club.’
Heckmondwike FB has recently updated its
Bespoke Logo Designs section on its website due
to increased demand for individualised ﬂoor-
ing solutions. Following it’s re-launch last year,
the website includes information on all product
ranges available from Heckmondwike FB, case
studies, speciﬁcation downloads and a sample
order form.
