highlights, break-outs and large-scale installa-
tions.
The Evolve collection follows Burmatex’s
phase one series of launches. Zip and Code were
launched as the next-generation of the company’s
award-winning structure bonded product range
Lateral, which utilises a clever mix of three dif-
ferent but complementary textures to amazing
effect.
Darren Clanford, creative director at Burmatex,
explained: ‘This first part of evolve continues
our development in the A&D sector, designed
to offer differentiated but relevant products to
architects and designers, giving choice to them
and, ultimately, to their customers. It was crucial
to Burmatex to create Evolve specifically with the
A&D market in mind, and launch a collection at
Design Prima that speaks their language.’
Contract interiors specialist Gradus has
extended its growing range of design carpet tiles
with the introduction of a contemporary new
collection, offering installation flexibility and a
choice of natural colourways, based on current
trends.
Ideal for the commercial sector, the Cityscene
collection creates a modern look and provides
a hardwearing, low maintenance floorcovering
solution.
Installation can be quarter turn, broadloom or
brick bond, creating a variety of design options,
and there are nine natural colourways available,

Priced competitively, Cityscene offers the
same high standards in design and quality as the
Jaku and Kata design tile collections launched
in 2007. Both are ideal for introducing a modern
look to premium office environments, and being
random-lay, they offer the opportunity to create
interesting design alternatives to traditional
broadloom designs.
This latest addition to Gradus’ carpet tile range
follows recent research findings, predicting
strong continued growth in the carpet tile market
in 2008 especially in the commercial sector, as
floorcoverings sales and marketing director, Alan
Joss, explained:
‘We are delighted with the newest product
in our design tile range. Its been created by the
Gradus design team and the emphasis has been
on producing something with style as well as
substance. Cityscene is a very attractive, con- Cityscene from Gradus looks great in commercial offices
