Canopy with Arts & Crafts style
THE BRISTOL TRADER is one of the landmark pubs in Haverfordwest,
Pembrokeshire. A new exterior canopy, finished in grey to contrast with the pastel
yellow of the Grade II listed building, now provides all-weather cover for drinkers
and diners enjoying the riverside views.
It was important that the canopy was in keeping with the original style of the
historic building. Andy Thornton’s architectural metalwork department
manufactured and installed the 50 sqm canopy. The company worked with local
architect Ian Bartlett on the design of the Arts & Crafts style construction. Created
using a steel skeleton, the canopy uses Andy Thornton’s circle colonnade system.
