I passed through Bankok for a transit stop and decided to buy two more bottles ... I went to the same pharmacy as the original purchase and was able to take two bottles directly from the shelves ... clearly displayed on the shelves about 3/4 of the way into the shop, on the left side, at about shoulder height.
I simply picked them off the shelf and walked to the sales person behind the counter on the right hand side of the shop and simply offered my money. No questions..

I have just returned from 4 enjoyable but fruitless days in Bangkok on a quest for Nembutal.
I regret to advise that the information in the eHandbook is now out of date as my attempt to purchase a dose from Eieng Sew Dispensary accompanied by a Thai speaking friend drew a very offhanded “NO.”
This in spite of a local friend’s daughter having just walked in and purchased a bottle off the shelf in January, so it would appear that something has transpired since then, changing the situation. So to save any other futile trips, suggest it should be mentioned in the next update.
Accompanied by my Thai friend I then tried about a dozen other pharmacies, and then a professional friend, 3 years in Thailand with UNICEF had her Thai secretary spend half a day sussing out various sources, again without success.
