longer sells Nembutal to Gringos. This store is located near the fifth stop on the Border Jumper tour which is advertised as the Leather Factory (Cnr of Avenida 16 de Septiembre and Calle Panama). Staff of the Leather Factor have been known to assist customers at this pet store if they have first bought generously from the Factory outlet.
As a passenger on the Border Jumper, getting back into the US is straightforward. Border Jumper passengers wait on the trolley until the checkpoint. At this point, everyone gets off the trolley and joins a designated tourist queue at US Customs.
Like all Mexico - US border crossings, the Customs officers ask the purpose of visiting and what has been purchased. Sometimes passports are scanned. This seems to depend on the individual Officer who determines the level of inspection undertaken. The same for the x-raying of bags. Some tourists have their bags x-rayed, others not. Once you exit the checkpoint on foot, the Border Jumper reappears from the traffic queue and takes passengers back to the convention centre, a small, half block from the Camino Real Hotel.
