In Peru, pentobarbital is marketed as ‘Halatal’ or ‘Penta-Hypnol’ and is made locally. Both of these brands are sold in 50ml bottles. The concentration is the same - 60mg/ml. At this concentration, a 50ml bottle will contain 3gm of Nembutal. The price varies from US$10 to US$30 per 50ml bottle. Exit travellers report that the vet stores have no problem selling Nembutal to tourists.
