our psyches just too techno saturated to
indulge in such innocent antics?
For better or worse, one constant
that seems never to go out of fashion, is
booze. Just the mixes and jargon for it,
go in and out of style. Back in the day,
my grandparents loved to pour martinis
and manhattans for their parties. Thirty
years later, these cocktails are being
enthusiastically embraced by my own
generation, evidenced by the emergence
of cocktail lounges in most cosmopolitan
cities across the U.S. Sex and the City
episodes further ingrained the trend into
popular culture. Some party trends do
come full circle.
But my mother’s cheese balls?
