As a journalist I must say this is one of the
more difficult assignments I’ve ever taken on.
The reason? The woman I’ve been commissioned
to write about doesn’t seem to exist.

I’ve done the obvious; e-mailed the
company for which she works half a
dozen times, googled her and tried
to locate her on numerous social
networking sites. All to no avail.
Nothing. Sandra Gross is elusive.
Wondering about whether she actually
exists or not, increases the already
heightened aura of mystery around
her, what she does and how in the
world she does it.
If you’ve ever planned a wedding
or a party you know how difficult
it can be to guarantee all of your
guests a memorable and fabulous
time. The guest list must be carefully
orchestrated, music selection is of
course crucial, seating arrangements,
theme, food, decorations,
entertainment, et al. A successful
party planner cannot slip up on even
one of these details.
Sandra Gross is a wildly successful
Party Creator. She dreams up
elaborate parties that she describes
as Encounters. But don’t try to
a woman’s demi-face stares out from
against a red background. The face of
Ms. Gross? The graphic design and
color scheme remind me of an ad for
one of those 70’s shows, like “The
Saint” or “The Incredibles”.
