in 1925 by Marcel Breuer. He named it
after his friend, Wassily Kandinsky, the
grandfather of abstract painting. The
design of this chair is partially inspired
by the curving handlebars of the Adler
bicycle and the cowhide leather is
known to stay taut for decades.
