One of my favorite pictures chronicles
David peeking through a red rose
lined door that leads from an Italian
village setting into a dark, live concert
complete with a light show, and striking
dancers in tiny flapper costumes. Gross
of course choreographed the show
to include costume changes and with
these, changes of character. Dancers
turn into wild nuns and priests while
transvestites work the crowd. All this
to ensure that no one is ever bored for
even one second by the music and of
course, you can choose blessing or
punishment while dancing.
When asked about what she hopes
her guests gain from such parties,
Gross says “All I can say is that they
[leave] inspired and enthusiastic.”
HOW TO PARTY LIKE GROSS
Location – It is key! Pick a location that’s
out of the ordinary and has interesting
possibilities in terms of dance area(s),
lounge area(s), performing, dining, etc.
Transform the space into a place to
party.
Memorable moment – make sure there
is (at least) one moment during the
night that catches guests off guard or
