Suzanne Bella Land Bella is our new copy editor. Writer, artist and music
composer, she is fascinated with language in all forms. From England
originally, she has lived and worked in various countries and is now based
in Los Angeles. Artwork and writing by Bella has been in magazines such
as Pig (Politically Incorrect Geniuses), Modern Painters and Spin. She can
be seen in a new piece by David La Chapelle, in “Holy War”, opening Sept.
12th at the Tony Shafrazzi Gallery, in New York City.
Noah Davis Noah is a freelance writer living in Brooklyn, who writes for
Penthouse, Time Out New York, PopMatters.com and Mediabisto.com.
In his spare time he enjoys giving running tours of the city, playing
basketball with local kids and searching for the next great idea for a
story. In this issue of avantoure Noah ran errands with Nike+ in New York
City for the article How Nike+ Gave My Second Wind.
Ivan Listo Our Art Director Ivan is a keen traveller who indulges in b
eautifully designed things. He believes that the essence of any design
is communication. By scrutinizing the world he finds new ways of
communicating through typography and graphic design. The ethos
of his work is understated elegance.
Mark Alexander Mark Alexander set up his own business - Uproar Design -
in 2007, as a Second Life Architect and Web 2.0 Specialist. After winning a
scholarship to study at Rugby School, he went on to spend a year working
on pervasive messaging technologies at IBM . Mark’s work with virtual
reality at IBM was shortlisted for the Computing Awards for Excellence
2007. For avantoure magazine he has created a lovely female avatar with
tattoos for the article The Wild World of Body Art.
Mark Macias Mark is a television producer living in Manhattan, who loves
to travel the world. Before moving to New York, he worked as a reporter
for The Arizona Republic and State Press Magazine in Arizona. For our
current issue of avantoure Mark wrote A Party Boy’s Favourite Spots and
Texting Etiquette for Men.
Rania Haditirto Rania is our Contributing Feature Editor in New York and
an Art Director for avantoure photo shoots. Since moving to New York to
pursue her career as a modern dancer, Rania has worked at Elle, WNET
Channel Thirteen, and as a freelance photographer. She loves outdoor
sports and travel, and plays bass in a rock band. For this issue of avantoure
Rania wrote King of the Gypsy Punks and Playing What’s within You.
