If you need to get away from the showing off of South Beach, there’s no

dignified (and huge) pair of pools set among Oriental-style tropical gardens

If you like the wide open spaces and you know your art, then get right over
to The Sagamore, right on Miami Beach. Its huge, blindingly white foyers and
public rooms are dotted with original pieces of art (as are the rooms), while
non-art lovers can just chill out by the pool, visit the pool-side grill and enjoy
the ocean a hop, skip and a jump from the terrace. Suites (it’s an all-suite
hotel) are calm and tranquil in shades of cream, with spa baths and every
comfort you’ll be wanting on a beach break like this all in an original deco
building in the middle of the deco district.
