EXPLORER 1500
Now that I’ve gone through the pack in brief I’d like to talk about the
various features in more detail. The pack functions are easily
accessible and quickly adjustable via the single rotary dial in
combination with the two channel select buttons.
By pressing the ‘menu’ button, you can easily toggle between the
modelling options, sounder, photocell, the radio slave and the power
control. A further press of the menu button reveals a simple to navigate
menu offering an extensive choice of programmable functions such as
bracketing, modelling timer, charge control and the really handy feature
of being able to save and recall the pack set-up.
Explorer 1500 Features:
“THE PORTABLE POWER-PACK
The Explorer is in many
WITH UNRIVALLED POWER TO
ways similar to the
QuadX generator, by
SIZE RATIO”
boasting many of the
advanced features which make life as easy as possible for both studio
and location based photographers.
Auto Bracketing: A handy feature of this pack which allows
three consecutive shots to be taken at power levels above, at
and below the selected power. Bracketing intervals on the
Explorer can be set from
1
⁄10to
9
⁄10stop.
Special Effects Modes: Once again, another handy feature of
this portable pack are the special effect modes. Three different
special effect modes are available which allow you to create trigger
delays, multiple flashes and also sequence flashes.
Modelling Control: The modelling light on this battery pack can be set
to run continuously or to run for a limited period between 1 to 60
seconds in order to preserve the life of the battery.
So, if you’re considering buying into a location system I’d say the
Explorer is worth it’s weight in gold.”
