TOP GEAR

For this issue of ‘Top Gear’ I’d like to talk about a particular
favourite of mine; the Explorer 1500 Battery Generator. The
feature rich Explorer pack offers photographers (both
location and studio based) a multitude of options and creative
possibilities no matter, where they plan to shoot.
Firstly (as the name suggests), the Explorer 1500 offers 1500Ws of
flash power which is split between two independent, digitally
controlled Quad channels; both with
1
⁄10th stop increments and
accuracy. Another handy feature of this battery pack is that it also
incorporates two Gemini monolight sockets; allowing photographers
up to four lights sources. So, by adding two Gemini 750+ flash units
to the Explorer you can increase your available flash output to
3000Ws; which is a massive amount of power from one location
battery source.
“TOTAL FREEDOM &
FLEXIBILITY; WHENEVER &
WHEREVER YOU NEED IT”
A large, sun-light readable graphic display
allows photographers to easily see and control
many of the packs features at the touch of a
button. The power on this pack can be split between the two
Quad sockets in a number of ways, allowing real flexibility
for any photographer. Channels can be independent,
combined as symmetric or even locked in ratio. At all power
levels, ultra-fast flash duration, superb colour stability and
rapid recycling is assured. The Explorer also incorporates a
