The New Entry-Level Gemini
Late in September 2008 at Photokina - the worlds largest
photographic trade fair, Bowens once again flew the flag for
British manufacturing and innovation to showcase a new era in
photographic flash lighting.
These days even entry-level photographers are demanding more
power from their lighting systems, which is why Bowens is proud
to announce the introduction of a brand new 400Ws unit as well
as the inclusion of a revamped Gemini 200.
Both units will offer photographers similar characteristics
included in the previous entry-level Gemini 200 flash head with
the added bonus of a host of extra features.
Said Mark Aherne (Bowens Technical Director): “The old Gemini
200 monolight was limited by just two stops of flash adjustment
and had no ‘dump’ capability. Our new Gemini 200 (& 400) will
have five stops of flash adjustments, proportional modelling,
Travelpak compatibility, a restyled ergonomic handle and ‘dump’
facility - all in smaller, more portable units.”
Bowens Launches NewAdvanced Travelpak
The original professional monolight battery system, the Travelpak, has now
undergone a complete redesign. Up until now the TravelPak battery has been
built-in to the main unit, the new Travelpak
comprises of a separate battery and control panel
which enables photographers to instantly ‘hot-swap’
batteries on a photo-shoot when the power begins to
fade.
The new Travelpak, which naturally complements the
versatile Bowens Gemini range, simply liberates
location photographers everywhere.
