What are TAPS & TAPS Cymru

TAPS is a national charitable organisation committed to seeking out, training and showcasing emerging talented writers. TAPS prides itself on giving these writers access to leading drama and comedy producers and script executives.

TAPS Cymru is a separate subsidiary company set up to provide writer training in Wales

TAPS has trained over 700 writers and showcased over 230 since 1993. Past writers have since worked on popular series such as Coronation Street, Eastenders, The Bill, Casualty, Holby, Doctors, Hollyoaks, Bad Girls, Nuts & Bolts, Belonging and Pobl y Cwm as well as receiving commissions for their own original ideas including Always and Everyone, Hearts and Bones, Vincent, Jericho and Mobile.

With TAPS writers having received hundreds of commissions on network television, over 2 billion viewers have now seen their work. An achievement never reached before by any independent training organisation.

TAPS actively develops original voices of the future for an industry which needs to constantly seek raw talent and fresh ideas.
