Pembrokeshire: Where life is best

Almost 80 per cent of workers in Wales will be looking to stay in the region when considering their next career move, according to a survey. The key reason for staying, according to the mad.co.uk survey, is the greater quality of life and a lower cost of living. Not to mention the stunning coastline, fantastic beaches and rural scenery. This makes for a very attractive and satisfying environment in which to live and work.

And nowhere else is this more evident than in Pembrokeshire.

Located in the heart of south-west Wales, Pembrokeshire can boast some of the best beaches in Europe with almost a third of the county being in a National Park. It is not surprising, therefore, that the region enjoys a thriving tourism industry and has become a popular destination for people relocating from the east and north.

And when they get there they may find work with the county’s biggest employer, Pembrokeshire County Council.

Employing over 6,000 people, the Council works to deliver a wide range of services for the benefit of the residents, local businesses and visitors to the county. The Council has defined its corporate objective as:

Employees are based at numerous locations throughout Pembrokeshire with their headquarters in Haverfordwest.
