Rino adds advanced technology screws
Rino industries Ltd has introduced a series of advanced technology fastener ranges.
The first is the range of AURUM™ screws, which have been introduced in the newly launched Rino
Industries 849 page mechanical drive components catalogue.
AURUM™ is a thermoplastic polyimide resin which exhibits special thermal, physical, chemical and

electric characteristics. It is heat resistant, enabling continuous use at 240ºC, and its
screws special clean characteristics ensure outgas is reduced to microscopic levels below high
temperatures. Amounts of metallic impurities, such as alkali metal, are also reduced to
microscopic levels.
AURUM™ also has chemical, plasma, radiation and abrasion resistant properties, as well
as being flame resistant, cleared by UL standard, to 94V-0. Cross recessed pan head, socket
head cap screws, hexagon nuts and washers are all available in this new material.
The next range of screws from Rino Industries Ltd is the innovative range of PEEK™ screws. PEEK™ is short for
polyetheretherketone and is light brown in colour. Rino says it has many advantages which include excellent chemical,
thermal and water resistance, which help maintain high heat resistance strength. Abrasion, shock and fatigue
resistance, as well as radiation and electrical properties.

The final screw range to be introduced by Rino is its range of Alumina ceramic fasteners. The Alumina ceramic fasteners
enable continuous use at 1,500ºC offers electrical insulation and resistance against heat and chemicals.
“The screws can be used in heat resistant applications such as hot water and chemical pumps, as well as
electronic applications such as electrical
transformers and computer equipment, but
as heat and chemical resistance

environment, it is
necessary to test
in advance under
actual conditions. Also, as with all ceramics, care
must be taken when handling, as ceramic screws do break easily.”
