Ronald B.Goldberg,M.D. DirectoroftheLipidDisordersUnit
Dr. Ronald Goldberg is Professor of Medicine, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology in the Division
of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
He also serves as Associate Director of Medical Affairs of the Diabetes Research Institute, and
Director of the Lipid Disorders Unit.
He is Co-Director of the DRI Clinical Laboratory and Principal Investigator of the Diabetes
Prevention Program at the University of Miami. From 1986 to 1999, he served as Director of
the Diabetes Division and Director of the Eleanor and Joseph Kosow Diabetes Treatment Center,
the patient care and clinical research arm of the DRI.
Dr. Goldberg also functions as Director of the state of Florida and University of Florida
Southeastern Florida Regional Diabetes Program. As director of this program, he is responsible
for translating current scientific information into clinical application.
