The recent launch of the poker rooms in the Regency Casinos in Thessaloniki and Mont Parnes in Athens is starting to satisfy a long- standing hunger amongst Greek poker players for around-the-clock live action.

poker rooms of eight tables in Athens and three tables in Thessaloniki, have been inte- grated into the top profes- sional setting of Regency Casinos. Impera’s i-Slot to house Novomatic content Novomatic has entered into an international licence agreement with the Austrian producer of gaming equipment Impera. According to the agreement Impera will receive games that have been developed by Novomatic to be implemented in the brand new Impera cabinets i-Slot and Imperator. The two cabinets feature a 32” touchsreen monitor and will be exclusively distributed in Germany by the AGI subsidiary Crown Technologies GmbH.

The Intel- ligent Gaming application automatically adds or updates player records from Regency’s membership system each time a player comes into contact with the poker room. Players register for cash games via a touch-screen kiosk and can view current
waiting list positions on LCD screens outside the card room. When a seat is about to be available, the player will automatically receive SMS notification, allowing them to enjoy the other entertainment in the casino. Notifying players in advance helps Regency to maximise occu- pancy by turning around empty seats in their busy card
